What BANBIA reads from TED

BANBIA separates the official buyer address from the official place of performance. When TED provides them, BANBIA records street, postcode, city, country subdivision and country code. The two locations are never treated as the same thing automatically: the contracting authority may be in one city while the contract is performed elsewhere.

How the map gets GPS coordinates

The address from TED remains the evidence. GPS coordinates are resolved only when you ask BANBIA to show or precisely locate an opportunity. BANBIA uses Nominatim/OpenStreetMap on demand, limits requests, and stores successful coordinates in local IndexedDB so the same address is not repeatedly sent to the geocoder.

Precision and fallback

BANBIA labels location precision as exact address, street, postcode, city, region or country. If no sufficiently precise official address exists, the map keeps a clearly labelled country-level fallback instead of inventing an exact position. Buyer and place-of-performance buttons let you resolve each official address separately.
